Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, and information generated by using the product:

• Account information: name, email address, and (if you sign in with Google) the basic profile info Google shares with us.
• Resume and profile data: the resume file and text you upload, and any profile details you add to improve job matching.
• Application activity: jobs you save, apply to, or hide, and content generated on your behalf (cover letters, tailored resumes, match scores).
• Billing information: handled entirely by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and plan, never your full card number.
• Usage data: standard technical data (IP address, browser, pages visited) collected for security, debugging, and product analytics.

How we use your information

• To match you against relevant job listings and score fit.
• To draft cover letters, tailored resumes, and other application material — always presented for your review before you use them.
• To send account, billing, and job-alert emails you've opted into.
• To operate, secure, and improve the product.
• To respond to support requests and feedback you send us.

AI processing

Your resume and job data are sent to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI) to generate match scores, summaries, and drafted application content. This data is transmitted over encrypted connections and is used to fulfill your request — we don't use it to train shared/public models.

Who we share data with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that run the product on our behalf — hosting and database infrastructure, our AI providers, Stripe for billing, Resend for transactional email, and Sentry for error monitoring — each bound to use it only to provide their service to us.

Data retention and deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your resume, application history, or your entire account at any time from your profile settings; account deletion removes your personal data from our production systems within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain records (e.g. billing history) for legal or accounting purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.

Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls limiting who on our team can see production data, and monitoring to detect abuse. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

JobraAI is not directed at children and isn't intended for use by anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change and update the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
